WHAT IS AN HD BROWS TREATMENT ?
HD Brows is a 7 step process:
Assessing your face shape, natural colouring and natural brows to determine the best result for you.
Some clients can achieve the perfect HD Brow shape on the first visit, whilst others may need a few treatments and be advised to grow in more eyebrow hairs to get the best results.
HD Brows can be thick or thin, dark or lighter, angular or soft – as we all start from a different point, we all get a slightly different result- the aim is to give you the perfect shape for YOU.Tinting of all brow hairs, including some of the ‘fluffy’ ones around the brows so that we have the maximum to work with to get the best shape for you. This tint is a special, high pigment tint to give longer lasting results than traditional tints. We mix the tint according to your present colouring and desired finished result.
Waxing both above and below the brows using the HD Brow guidelines to achieve the famous HD shape – but tailored to best suit you.
Threading of the ‘fluffy’ hairs surrounding the brows to blend into the hairline.
Tweezing to perfectly fine tune your shape.
Trimming of any long hairs so that all of your brow hairs lie perfectly in their newly defined shape.
Aftercare – some clients will need a small amount of eyebrow pencil or powder to fill in any gaps whilst we encourage regrowth of any previously over-plucked areas. HD brows have their own specially tailored brow makeup range.

It is best to come initially with at least 4 weeks growth, this enables me to fully assess the shape that we can achieve. Ideally 6 weeks would be even better if you can!
For home maintenance between HD Brow appointments I ask that you try your best not to tweeze, this ensures that we get to the best shape for you more quickly at your appointments. You will also find that once you are in a proper brow program, that your brows will stay neater for longer – if you can imagine, when all of the hairs are removed at the same time then they will all grow through at the same time together. A person that tweezes every day/week will be stuck in this pattern because the hairs will constantly be growing at different rates depending on when they were removed initially.
AFTERCARE
To keep your HD Brows looking salon perfect every day, proper care and maintenance is required.
Follow your stylists recommendations and avoid tweezing between appointments.
Avoid prolonged contact with direct sunlight, the use of sunbeds, saunas, steam-rooms and swimming pools for 24hours after the procedure.
Avoid exfoliating and anti-ageing products around the brow area for 3 days either side of the treatment.
It is advisable not to use fake tan products on the face for around 2 to 3 days either side of the treatment. If you do wish to use fake tan on your face, apply a barrier to the hair and small area around the brow prior to tanning to prevent discolouration of your tint.
Remember you results will be darker and more defined immediately after your treatment. The makeup applied is not permanent and tint will fade depending on the frequency of cleansing.
You must inform your brow stylist immediately should you experience and swelling, itchy rashes, bruising, skin grazing or cuts after your treatment, so they can advise you on the correct procedure to follow.

HOW LONG DO HD BROWS LAST?
The effects of the treatment usually last around 4-6 weeks, however this can vary depending on your hair growth. After your first few treatments your stylist will be able to recommend how often you should be having the treatment done.
I HAVE SPARSE OR OVERPLUCKED BROWS; CAN I STILL GET HD BROWS?
Our stylists work with you on a regrowth programme to achieve the perfect brow shape. In the meantime, you can fake it with make up application, demonstrated by your stylist. Use our Lash & Brow Booster to encourage hair growth.
HOW LONG DOES HD BROWS TAKE?
The HD Brows treatment usually takes around 45 minutes, but we would suggest allowing an hour for the treatment. In a rush? Visit your local HD Brows master stylist for an express treatment which takes just 15 minutes.
IS HD BROWS SEMI-PERMANENT?
The treatment is not classed as semi-permanent, however we do use permanent tint on the brows during the treatment. The lasting effects of this vary depending on skin type, hair growth and skin care routine. Results of the HD Brows treatment typically last around 4-6 weeks.
DO I NEED TO DO A PATCH TEST?
Yes. You should be given a patch test to apply at least 48 hours before each and every treatment to minimise any risk of reactions. Many extraneous factors can affect your sensitivity to tint and this is likely to change between each appointment.
HOW MANY HD BROWS TREATMENTS DO I NEED TO ACHIEVE MY DESIRED SHAPE?
This completely depends on the amount of hair you have to begin with. Your HD Brows stylist will be able to advise how many treatments they recommend to give you the brows you eventually want during your first consultation.
WHAT’S AN HD BROWS RE-GROWTH PROGRAMME?
For some, the perfect brows might just be one treatment away. However those with sparse or over-plucked brows may need to be put on a re-growth programme. Your stylist will educate you on the areas needed to grow in so the shape can be improved at each appointment. You’ll also be educated on the best HD make up to use on any gaps in your brows until your dream brow shape has been created.
