I believe all women are pretty without makeup - but with the right makeup can be pretty powerful
Makeup
I have always dreamt of being a Makeup artist and my dream came true after completing training at the Academy of Freelance Makeup in London. I have taken part in London fashion weeks, worked backstage with AOFM, VIP lounge at the Century club London and completed many master classes with TOM FORD, Charlotte Tilbury, Bobbi Brown, NARS, MAC, and Dior...
Makeup artistry is my passion, and I aim to give my clients the perfect look, using the highest quality products.
My goal whilst working with clients, is to enhance their natural beauty, and follow their personal style.
I believe that expert makeup application should demonstrate beautiful, flawless, and glowing skin.
I do a lot of research regarding trends in beauty, makeup, fashion, product ingredients, and tips and tricks from the makeup artists I admire. And what do I love most about my job? The smile on a client's face when they see their finished look!
WEDDINGS
Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life. I believe that all brides deserve the best service and expertise on their special day. I always feel privileged to be part of that special time on the wedding morning, giving not just makeup, but calming a nervous bride, and distracting the young bridesmaids with my makeup kit. It's all part of the job. Seeing the bride’s confidence grow after the makeup is applied is very rewarding.
Your wedding makeup is just as important as your wedding dress and flowers. You want to look stunning whilst still natural and look like yourself. The wedding makeup needs to look good in both natural and artificial lighting, and also work well with camera flashes. Bridal makeup is a skill in itself, and I’m the right person you can trust.
BRIDAL TRIAL
This is the time when you find out which makeup suits you best and will make you the most stylish and gorgeous bride.
You may have already decided on the look that you want, but often during trials I come up with more options that you might not have considered before. I know from my experience which styles will make you look extraordinarily beautiful. Sometimes it’s hard to imagine what looks really work best without trying them out. That’s where trial sessions come in.
Everything that is agreed during the trial, and the products chosen, are documented, and photos are taken of your stunning finished look. You can then take comfort in the fact that you will look incredible on the big day.
The trial usually takes between 1.5 to 2 hours. If you would like to try more looks that would take me over these times I will suggest a second trial is booked.
SPECIAL OCCASION MAKEUP
Take the stress out of getting ready for a special occasion, and book in to have your makeup expertly applied.
You’ll still look like you, but I’ll accentuate your features and personal style, to bring out your natural beauty and elegance.
With the right amount of makeup, perfect colour choices, and techniques, you will be looking effortlessly stylish, chic, and modern.
The special occasion makeup session usually takes around one hour.
PROM MAKEUP
This is the last big party before you say goodbye to your school friends, and hello to the next big adventure.
Get your space booked quickly once you have your prom date as these appointments are limited and fill up fast!
Prom makeup session usually takes around an hour.
CREATIVE/THEME MAKEUP
I absolutely love doing creative makeup for Halloween, fancy dress parties, and photo shoots.
I get booked up for Halloween well in advance, so even if you don't know what you want to be turned into I would suggest pre-booking your space on the day well in advance.
PHOTOSHOOTS
Whether you are a photographer wanting to use my services for your valued clients, or a customer wanting to look your best for some special photographs, it's highly worthwhile to have professional makeup that will be tailored to your shoot and will come across superbly on the photographs.
I'm highly experienced in this area, and regularly work on fashion, beauty, boudoir, glamour, model portfolios and family portrait shoots.
THE MAKEUP LESSON
WHY SHOULD I BOOK A MAKEUP LESSON?
Have you ever wanted to really understand which makeup styles suit you, which colours light up your face, and make you look radiant and healthy?
Have you ever been confused about the vast array of products available to choose from and not knowing where to begin?
Do you feel like you’re stuck in a rut with the same makeup routine for years not knowing how to make yourself look younger, effortlessly stylish – as if you woke up looking like this?
Do you use the same makeup style for daytime and evening, and don’t know how to turn your daytime look into a more glamorous and sophisticated evening look?
If the answer to any or all of these is yes, then a makeup lesson is what you need!
Makeup lessons are entirely bespoke, and taught on either a one-to-one basis, or in groups of two to three people. (Makeup parties for larger groups are also available – the perfect opportunity to update your skills with friends/sister/mum).
The lessons take two hours, and the content is completely customised to suit your goals and experience. I also look through your existing makeup kit (please have it with you, no matter how big or small!) to assess which products are suitable, and which you might need to get.
As part of the lessons I work out the most flattering colour selections for you. Then I go through step-by-step the most flattering makeup styles for you – firstly by you watching me, and then repeating under my guidance.
At the end of the lesson you’ll looking amazing, and wishing that you did this years ago!
Learn how to look stunning every day, and polished and sophisticated on special nights out. With the basic necessary skills that you’ll pick up during the lesson, and a bit of practice you’ll be able to achieve this!
WHERE DO THE LESSONS TAKE PLACE?
I work from my beautiful studio in central Brighton which has been designed to strict specifications in terms of lighting, furniture, and space, to be perfect for makeup lessons.
Should you, however, prefer to have a lesson from a location of your choosing, this can also be arranged. Travel fee applies.
PRIVATE LESSONS FOR INDIVIDUALS
Whether you would like to learn a natural and everyday look, a style suitable for the corporate world, or a glamorous and sizzling evening look, I would be more than happy to guide you through the makeup maze.
I will show you how to make the most of your facial features, and how to enhance them with the help of correct application skills, colour matching, and of course the right products.
BRIDAL LESSONS
If you are planning on getting married somewhere where the makeup artist of your choice will not be readily available, I can teach you how to apply your own bridal makeup, so that you will look simply stunning on the day.
I use products and application techniques that ensure flawless long-lasting makeup from morning through to night, with just an occasional lipstick touch-up required.
Priced £100 for 3 hours.
F.A.Q
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY MAKEUP TRIAL?
Here are some tips how to prepare for a makeup trial:
1. GET PINNING!
There is so much inspiration online for your bridal beauty look, and Pinterest is the holy grail for assisting in wedding planning in general.
Even if you can’t find the exact style you are envisioning, a collection of images will give me a ‘feel’ for the look you’re going for. Including your dress, colour swatches, and and even any room styling can also help!
2. WHAT ABOUT IF I DON’T HAVE A CLUE?
Some questions to ask yourself:
When do you get the most compliments? When wearing a smoky eye or just a bare scrap of makeup? When do you feel your best?
How much makeup do you wear every day? You don’t have to wear stage makeup just because it’s your wedding day, I promise.
Are you likely to pay attention to your makeup on the day? If not I wouldn’t suggest a strong lip.
Is your venue dramatic and dark, or light and airy?
3. PREP PREP PREP – I’M TALENTED BUT NOT A MAGICIAN :)
Drinking lots of water pre-wedding, going somewhere decent to have your brows shaped, and having a couple of facials are all going to help you look your best. You’re aiming for a great canvas that we can further enhance.
4. HOW TO ARRIVE AT THE TRIAL
I find it really helpful if the bride turns up with her regular makeup on so I can get an idea of how she looks every day, and what kind of makeup she feels comfortable with.
5. WHAT TO BRING TO YOUR TRIAL AND WHEN TO SCHEDULE IT
Scheduling the trial after you’ve bought 'the' dress is pretty helpful, as it guides the whole look, and focuses the mind as to how you’d like your hair and makeup. However you don’t need to bring it with you, and a picture will suffice.
We normally suggest planing the trial 1-3 months before the wedding date.
It’s good to wear your makeup ‘look’ for an hour or so, and take a look at it in different mirrors in your home to get used to it.
6. HOW LONG WILL THE TRIAL LAST?
The trial takes approximately 1.5 hours for makeup.
7. DO I PAY FOR TRAVEL?
Yes, and all the details are in the terms and conditions below.
8. WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU WORK WITH?
In my kit I have high quality makeup products including brands like:
TOM FORD, Charlotte Tilbury, Bobbi Brown, Giorgio Armani, Airbase, Makeup for ever, NARS, Natasha Denona, Urban Decay, RCMA, and many more.
9. IF I’M NOT HAPPY AT THE TRIAL - AM I COMMITTED TO BOOK?
No, you are just liable to pay for the trial, and any travel charges incurred.
10. CAN I BOOK IN A TRIAL WITHOUT PAYING THE DEPOSIT FIRST?
I always ask for a deposit first to hold your wedding date in my diary, before booking in your trial.
11. HOW LONG SHALL I ALLOW FOR MAKEUP ON MY WEDDING DAY?
I will work this out for you at the trial, however as a rough guide for approximate timings, I suggest 1.5 hours for the bride, and 1 hour per person for everyone else.
12. CAN I REDUCE THE PRICE OF THE PACKAGE IF I DON’T INCLUDE LASHES?
The lashes are a complimentary extra offered by me so I would not be able to discount if you prefer not to have them.
